The following video explains a little about gluten intolerance, coeliac disease and related conditions and why they occur. It is useful for those who feel that they are experiencing problems with gluten; is a good introduction to those who may be newly diagnosed; those who believe they have a problem with gluten; those who may have gluten intolerance or coeliac disease and would like to see a little information about 'gluten.'
People who have Coeliac Disease apparently produce both a large amount of zonulin and anti-zonulin antibodies compared to non-celiac patients and patients in remission, who are eating a gluten-free diet. Zonulin is a protein and is believed to act like a gatekeeper to our tissues.
Hello - The second link will not fully show so if you wish to see what is written in the Lancet then please type Zonulin in the search bar which shows when 'clicking' the link and then you will be able to click on the Summary to read the report.
