Soooo. Gluten in beauty products...I guess if it's on my hands or face it could get in my mouth.

Do we think its enough to have a reaction?

If so, how do I make sure products I use don't have them? Guess I can't use resteraunt moisturiser and then go and eat GF garlic bread 😅.

I'm a soap and water baby, so use very few products - soap, shampoo, and a natural deodorant are all I buy, and I make my own lip salve from beeswax and olive oil. I do read the ingredients on what I do buy, just in case there is any danger of transferring anything from hands to food, although I doubt it.

I agree with Whydothis, it seems unlikely that any danger of transferring from hands to food... make sure you don’t lick you fingers.

There are various beauty products that advertise themselves as gluten free. Have a look at Green People on line.

I make sure all the products I use don't have gluten in them or potential for contamination in the production line. I mostly use Dr Hauschka (a couple of their products aren't gluten-free but clearly labelled on their website) and Lavera but have also used Green People.

I found that I had problems with corn - so if I kissed someone wearing a corn face powder/makeup my lips would split, and breathing nearby made me dizzy and nauseous. I also got gut reactions to corn from eating bought GF so I stopped and have made sure that all my supplements don't contain corn (which they commonly do). I use the simplest olive oil soap (also as shampoo) and a mineral deodorant plus toothpaste and that is it. My skin was reacting to everything I put on it and my skin was my main sign of gluten reaction too. Now looks and feels healthy and very rarely dry - if it is I use a tiny dab of coconut oil or EV olive oil. I am happily grain free.
