In my CoeliacUK 2017 food directory it says Bitsa wispa ok and dairy milk buttons ok.

Can’t locate my 2018 directory though.

I’ve noticed some items are now saying can’t guarantee not gluten free (brought some R Whites lollies that now say this)

Best wishes

It can also be the milk in the milk chocolate (casein protein) that is similar to gluten and causes issues.

Hi SammieXo,

I also have coeliac disease and I am always fine if I eat Cadbury’s buttons ( giant ones are my fave!!). I can’t eat Cadbury’s caramel though, not in buttons or Freddos either.

Although I don’t think I am as sensitive as other sufferers so take care.

Me too can’t have caramel. Buttons and wispa fine.

Cadbury Caramel, is the clue in the name? Caramel is burnt sugar, but where does the sugar come from. Buttons and Wispa may contain sugar but where from?

We all react differently to different triggers. There are many foods now excluded. The list is a waste of time as it allows trace amounts. Build your own list.

Sammie here in Canada most Hersey’s chocolate products are gluten free! Don’t know if Hersey’s is a brand sold in UK! Reese’s peanut butter cups and most M and M’s are also gluten free!
