It is hereditary. My daughter and my sister have it. I as a male do not. Don't know if it is tied to only sex.

Some say Botox injections to the hands work. Neither of my relatives is so inclined.

Carry a handkerchief?

Has this come on recently?

I too, sweat heavily, even my forearms and legs sweat (I rarely shave/wax them, not worth the sting which is more painful than ripping out the waxed hair!) The sweating started just before I was diagnosed with D/H(10+years ago),...just to help, I have now hit the hormonal upheaval which a lot of 50 + women have, and boy oh boy I not only get drenched, but I feel as if I'm boiling from the inside out.....the sweating is truly life changing, for years I have carried something to sit on because on plastic chairs it looks as if I have wet myself, trying to get out of some shirts is hard because they stick to my skin (think the reverse of dressing, in a rush, after swimming)

I don't know how to help you, but one thing I have learned is that although people glance at me when I whip out a towel for my face/arms or my chair cloth, they aren't really that interested, there are so many 'peculiar' people out there that I am only one of many

Have you had your thyroid checked ? The Thyroid is your thermo-stat and when it goes off kilter - then problems ensue :-)
