We had great problems choosing sweets that were free from both gluten and nuts - as our usual favourite (tic tacs) were out of stock. In the end went for some sort of Mint Imperials, which were made using maize starch.
We've been enjoying Osem cakes. It seems that for Passover wheat is not permitted. So we like to stock up on these. Often they're on offer for £1 in Sainsburys and they taste really nice and light in different flavours. Relatively low flat. I can't recall whether they're safe for nut allergies.
I need to find these Osem cakes!
I picked up some Dizzy chocolates from Hotel Chocolate. They are GF and also lower in sugar then other chocolates, so I get my fix without too many issues. The only issue I did have was with my bank balance - I bought 3 packs!
Oh, and I also bought the lovely fresh(ish) GF seeded loaf from Sainsburys. This was to stop myself dreaming about "normal" bread, fresh from the bakery, still warm and with a lovely, chewy crust, topped with a little butter and some brie. Argh!
We're also loving the GF seeded loaf from Sainsbury's - especially the price compared to other GF breads. It has a nice nutty flavour doesn't it.
Yes, it suits me fine!
