I'm going to South America in March. Most of the time I'll be on a cruise ship so I shou have any problems. However I have two days in Buenos Aires and two days in Santiago.

Has anyone been there who can suggest the best places to eat

We went to Buenos Aires on our way to & from the Antarctic (also a cruise). We ate at a restaurant close to our hotel on our first night - no problem & English widely spoken. On our last night we were taken to a Tango Show where steak was the main dish, again, no problem & they are very much tourist centred. The cruises we have been on are also great foodwise, all thickening gravy & sauces with corn starch and making gluten free versions of desserts on request.

Thanks. Yes, you're right cruises are great for coeliacs. I usually pick my meal the night before. On the Queen Mary they made me crepes and profiteroles, which were delicious

Wow bluebell your trip sounds amazing. Hope you have a wonderful time. Sorry I cannot advise as I have not ventured to South America.
