I was put on Ganfort over 12 months ago. Since then my visual acuity seems to become somewhat variable - some days good and some days not so good. I am now wondering whether it's something to do with the Ganfort. I say that because on Tuesday this week, I went to ophthalmology for a regular check-up and, because my IOPs have gone up, the consultant put me on Roclanda (one drop per day) and Cosopt (2 drops, 12 hours apart). Since then my visual acuity seems to be less variable and I'm wondering whether the variability may have been due to the Ganfort. Has anyone else experienced variable visual acuity possibly due to the drops they're on?

Ganfort - visual acuity?

Hi there. Reduced vision is a common side effect of Ganfort (affecting around 1-10 in 100 people) so it could have been the Ganfort that caused this problem for you.
Hi, if your pressures are going up I would have thought your opthalmologist would have referred you for a hospital appointment . Do you know what your eye pressures are. Having been diagnosed with glaucoma many years ago I have been prescribed many types of drops which work in different ways. The only one that affected my vision was Pilocarpine Pilocarpin which shrank my iris but it didn't affect my vision much except in the dark. In fact it improved my distance vision but obviously not close vision. If your medication has the same affect this could be why you notice a difference in your vision.viision. I hope you get sorted.
