Glaucoma is one of the most complex eye diseases. The exact causes are still unknown. But there is an increasing range of treatment options, and we are optimistic that one day, a cure could be possible.

Developments in all areas of glaucoma care are ultimately the result of research. In April’s digital glaucoma support group (DGSG) we will be joined by Glaucoma UK’s Head of Research, Joanna Hodgkinson, to talk all about glaucoma research.

Joanna will give an overview of what the current priorities are in glaucoma research and how they are decided. She will explore research into causes, diagnosis, treatment, progression and even vision restoration! She will also explain some of the challenges that researchers face.

Following Joanna’s presentation, there will be an opportunity for you to ask questions.

Recovering gradually and only last 4 months getting more dizziness and feelings of exhaustion with needing to breathe with effort quite frequently and having to rest in bed until less weak. .Took chart to GP with monitored blood pressure chart over 10 days ,( this by myself) averaged 136/75 .I felt it was quite high but told this is normal for my age .So no further treatment offered for this . Unsure if eye medication or stroke effects are involved ?
