Closed angles after iridotomy

Hi, I had an iridotomy in February as a 'preventive' measure, but I've been back for a follow up and they have said that my angles have remained narrow and this is because of my eye anatomy (I am very high farsighted). I didn't really ask any questions as I was a bit deflated, but I should have. Will this mean I have to be careful still with medications and act as I did before being cautious? I'm not on eye drops as my pressures are 16/17 as before. I have other eye issues, so I like to be informed to give my sight the best possible chance.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I had laser treatment over 10 years ago for my closed angle glaucoma in both my eyes. However to maintain lower pressures I've still needed daily eye drops I've also needed cataract surgery to put thinner lenses in that have also reduced my pressures.

Did you angles remain closed after the procedure?

My understanding is that if you have closed angle glaucoma or open angle glaucoma, that is the condition you have. No amount of surgery or eye drops will change that. But ,by having the correct clinical procedures and treatment, the condition can be controlled and your eye sight preserved.

You probably need to check this, to make sure my understanding is correct.

I don't have closed angle glaucoma, my angles are near enough closed and I was having issues with lights but they have bit diagnosed me with glaucoma. The iridotomy was to try and prevent glaucoma.

Was laser iridotomy and how long after did you have lens replacement ? What where pressures before and after both ops? Also where you on eye drops between. Thanks
