I had SLT and I’m using icare home to monitor the pressure.
Before SLT I had around 20 with Travatan. The day of the SLT and the day after I had huge reduction to 9-13 IOP.
Today, visiting the doctor and comparing the iCare I found out I have spiked to 24 IOP.
I don’t know if it will take more time to effect or this is an indication that it’s not working. I did try to look over the net about it but found no evidence.
My target IOP is 14-16 and I’m not there due to the SLT, my doc wants at least 6 weeks but I’m afraid of loosing more eyesight during that time.
Anyone got inputs about it? Did you had the same experience and found out it works after few weeks?
Thanks

To answer you first, IOP can fluctuate afterSLT, but since you are self monitoring I suggest you report to your consultant directly if you have that facility or via secretary.
Looking wider, iCare Home is providing a new, and rather unnerving, dimenson to glaucoma care. From only having an IOP check at (infrequent?!) hospital appointments you can spend endless days and nights keeping tabs on it. And the medics really have little experience of this, and how to evaluate it if, for instance, a fluctuation is discovered which neither you nor they had previously suspected.
It would be very interesting to learn how others possessing this device are getting on, and the attitude of their consultants.
