I’ve had glucoma pigment dispersal high-pressure from the age off 40. Had the trab done in on one eye. Back to the heading of the story. Just been to vision express. We’re I was told the free yearly eye test has gone too every two years. Like we can get seen by the hospital regularly with all the disruptions Has anyone else been told this.

My optician advised next eye test in 2 years as I have annual glaucoma monitoring at the RVI eye clinic. POAP in both eyes diagnosed 2 years ago
I have just checked the NHS website and it says “If you're eligible for a free NHS sight or eye test, you can have a test every 2 years.” I too thought it was annual
My RVI appointment is now six months overdue, 1 letter and 2 phone calls, no appointment yet. I’ll try again.
There are a lot of worrying reports on here about waiting times.
This just corroborates what you are saying I’m afraid. Very concerning.
I had an eye test last year and rang Specsavers to check if I was due an appointment this year but was told every two years or to pay £25 plus £5 for the extra test. As I am seeing eye clinic I didn’t bother. It was a big thing a few years ago to check for glaucoma every year at the opticians. This is an unpublicised change.
