Hi everyone I've just got my date for my Dsek op I was just wondering what the recovery time was before I can go back to work .

Hi there. We can't be sure what you mean by Dsek op. We are thinking that you might mean cataract or clear lens replacement. Are you able to provide any more detail for us please so we can help you further.

Hi, I cannot comment on the DSEK but I had the full PK graft surgery which is more invasive than DSEK. My surgery went ok but my pressure spiked immediately after and I had to be on awful tablets and drops after that which hindered my recovery but I'd say 3-4 weeks is ok to go back to work and at least 3 months for minor normality post PK. I have less than 1% vision in the operated eye so the graft recovery had nothing to do with ability to work, I was mainly incapacitated due to pain and being put to sleep by the tablets.
