I had preser flow shunt 16 months ago in both eyes. All ok so far.
Recently I’ve felt one of my eyes a tad irritated. Only a little bit. I’m not sure if it’s because they are dry. However I do use lots of the drops. I have notice my vision in that eye a little bit worse/blured slightly.
the bleb is not red at all, eye is not watering or producing gunk.
my bleb is quite large and always has been. Even now after 16 months the eye is still very tender to touch and has been since it was done.
my consultants answer was just don’t touch it then!
Question is, does this sound like a bleb issue and the hospital need to check, or simply my eyesight has worsened and need to visit opticians?
I haven’t been seen since October and have no upcoming appointments.
Thank you xx

Interesting posting from you as I have had similar.
I had Preserflo surgery in Nov 22 and a revision surgery Oct last year. Over the last few months my eye started to feel fuller, with a dull ache. I also suffer from dry eye a lot more.
After a few weeks of what I thought was worsening I went to A&E as I had been experiencing headaches. The pressures were fine, but they did speed up my next consultation (I had been waiting for a letter) and saw a doctor in clinic the next week.
After a thorough examination he said everything was fine. Eye is draining fine, pressures were both around 12 (I only have had surgery on one eye) and he couldn't see any reason why I was getting aches or headaches. He has asked for a CT scan just to rule anything more sinister out but from his perspective it all looked how it should be.
Personally I've noticed that once I take lubricating eye drops my eye feels a lot better, so it may just be how the eye is after two bouts of surgery.
If I was you I'd for to A&E and say you're concerned and they will have a look. It's not worth taking the risk in my opinion.
I am under the care of the Bristol Eye Hospital and they have their own A&E department, and as I've had surgery with them I tend to get seen quite quickly.
I had same. When I had my cataract done on eye they closed it up a bit. I was told as no eye drops are now being used in operatedeye to just clean with cooled boiled water to relieve the dry eye. It still feels blurry but pressures are good. Does your hospital where you had eye done allow you to go as a walk in, if they have glaucoma clinics they should have this. Might be worth a visit.
I had the surgery in my right eye last year September, the doctor made me stop taking the anti biotic drop.
However once I stopped taking drops I realised that the eye was really itchy and he told me to take VisuXL eye drops, this has really helped me and my eye feels moisturised , after the surgery I have realised that my eye has gone a bit smaller and my vision on that eye did go worst.
I did go for my eye test and my numbers did jump a lot however they mentioned this is normal after the surgery.
