Can anyone please advise me on when is best to administer the eye drops. I have to have 1 drop in each eye per day. I've been advised my vision may be limited and wondered if it might be better to take them at night as not to interrupt my day. I am worried however, if I were to take them at night and wake up for the loo would I be able to see. It's all so scary at the moment since it's my first dose. Thanks

Thanks for your reply. The instructions say to put 1 drop into each eye a day. I just wondered if anyone else had discovered it's better to take them before bed, morning or throughout the day.

I asked the chemist and she said to do whatever suits me best.

I administered before bed the experience wasn't negative.

I guess I was just anxious having been warned they may limit my vision and having not taken them before.

As I recall Pilocarpine is a stinger (I was taking them as one of many several times a day) but any stinging and blurring of vision is short-lived. Best to take them at a time you will remember if no other advice on timing is given.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes they are the ones that sting, but the sting was short-lived as you say. I administered about an hour before bed.

I also have 2 other types of drops to take, 1 which is 6 times a day and the other only 2 times. They don't seem to sting though.

Hi, I put pilocarpine eye drops in three times a day, plus others, but I start mine one drop in each eye before my breakfast so I don't forget and can keep track on all my other drops,I do find at night when it's dark I have hard job seeing without any lights on.

Thanks.

I woke a few times to go to the toilet and I could see, but I did make sure the night light was on in the bedroom and hallway.
