Eye Drops Query

Hello, I have just been prescribed beta blockers to go with my latanaprost eyedrops. I take my latanaprost at night and the betablockers in the morning. The consultant said that I could combine the two into one set of drops if I speak to my gp is this a good idea or am I better taking them twice a day?

Thanks.

Hello. Taking a combination drop is more convenient as you only have to put in one drop rather than the two.

Thanks Trish, I will ask my gp if they can do that for me!

Hi Quantam

I use combination eyedrops - Ganfort which is Bimatoprost and Timolol (a betablocker) combined in one bottle. I use it at bedtime.

Much more convenient than using two lots.

Thanks Lynn, I have just received a copy of the letter my Consultant sent to my gp and they have indeed asked for the drops to be combined into one bottle. I just need to ask for them to leave out the preservatives!

I use Azarga, which is a combination of brinzolamide and timolol ( the latter is a beta blocker). I use these twice daily and also bimatoprost at night.
