Hello

The only option would be to speak to your consultant. Wearing sunglasses/antiglare glasses may help with the glare, but if you relate this since having the eyes dilated at the eye clinic, then it would definitely be the consultant you would need to speak too. You can do this by calling the eye secretary with your concerns. They can then speak to the consultant and get back to you.

I talk with him and he denied any relation between dilation and these symptoms and just left be to accept that symptoms as my new vision.

Remember, you have the option of a 2nd opinion. You can either speak to your GP about referring to a different hospital for a 2nd opinion or you can arrange to see someone privately.

The same glares and auras around the lights happened to me too, at 2 different times: The first time was 2 years ago, when my vision got worst as soon as I came out of the eye clinic, after eye dilation. When I complained about that to the eye Dr, he said it happens sometimes, and it will disappear after one week. It did not disappear. I began seeing double especially for the distance vision. I was sure that happened from the dilation, or from the light that the specialist was directing into my eyes to examine the background of the eyes. Also I had to begin wearing glasses for distance vision, and also increase the degree of my reading glasses by +1.

It happened again when I attended the clinic after 2 years of absence, just to get annual new prescriptions, that the pharmacy was asking for. Again, just after coming out from the clinic, where they dilated and scanned the background of my eyes, I could not read anymore with my regular glasses and the glare is still stronger after 2 months of my visit there. I had to get +3.25 glasses for reading, instead of +2.75 that I was using before.
