A laser iridotomy is a non-invasive procedure (I've had this carried out a couple of times on each eye), there is no wound by which an infection or parasites could get to places they don't belong so you should be okay to wash. If in any doubt, a quick call to the clinic may be worthwhile.

Hi. Yes you can wash your face and hair. You're not limited to anything after an iridotomy as it's a non invasive procedure.

hi

Very sorry to hear they did that even though you have narrow angles, why did they do that?

How are you doing now? I’m due to have this done soon, and I’m very worried about it, fussing over whether to just let them do one eye at a time!

No does they haven’t told me - only that two are open and two are narrow anotomically

I would ask what angles are and more questions. The iridotomy isn't bad but if it's not necessary and pressures are OK ask why it's needed. It's mainly to stop a acute angle attack

That’s what he said to prevent angle closure attack

unless I pay private for that, I feel I can’t with nhs as the consultant I’m under is the lead consultant ophthalmologist for mid Cheshire 😳

So I guess I should be lucky to have landed with someone like that, the dr who I saw that did a UBM scan on my eyes also agreed with him so 🤷‍♀️
