hi I had laser treatment to both eyes nearly 2 weeks ago. I was very nervous about the laser treatment, I can say it was nothing like I was expecting. The only thing I felt painful was when the consultant was putting the lens on my eye to do the laser treatment. The worst part is having to wait 6 weeks to find out if it has reduced my eye pressures

Hope everything goes okay for you

sorry it didn’t work. That is my worry as consultant wasn’t too sure it would work for me as I’ve had several operations on both my eyes for other issues . Ah well. Do you have to be a day case or is it in outpatient clinic?

I've had both eyes treated and it reduced my pressures from over 30 to under 20. Procedure was completely painless. Just some a feeling of pressure when the laser touched the eye.

I had laser surgery last year. It was completely painless and only took a few minutes. Unfortunately it didn’t reduce my pressures and so I was put on different drops which are also not reducing the pressures. I’m not sure what’s next but should know more after my next appointment. The laser surgery also worsened my cataracts and changed my eyesight. I can now read without glasses but need them for distance vision whereas before the laser surgery it was the other way round. The change in eyesight happened gradually over the three months following the laser surgery.

Good morning from Thailand,As others have already reassured you that there is nothing to worry about! It is the thought more than anything else! What I would say is it will help you with the ways ahead that you are aware of your Diagnosis, the reason for the Laser....Mine was Laser Iridotomy for Angle Closure Glaucoma!...It is normal what one feels in these situations.... Just a few minutes before I had my Laser.....the Consultant moved away from the Laser, looked at me and said smilingly...."if you were not nervous you would be a rock wouldn't you!?"........I laughed 😂.... and the next thing (after a few pings)...he said was "Bingo"......all done !!😂😄...So relax and be in a good mood...(Don't drink too much water beforehand!!!...We had confusions as to where the sudden increase in Eye pressure was coming within half an hour!.... because I drank nearly a litre of water quickly!)
