I thought I would post an update having had my trab op on Monday. I am delighted to say that do far so good. My pressure was in the low to mid teens but I was still suffering damage to the optic nerve causing loss of field vision in the central part of the eye so my Consultant was anxious to perform the trab to stabilise the eye and prevent further damage. He aimed to get the pressure down to 8 bur would be happy to achieve 9. On check up the next day my pressure was 8 so he was very pleased. First class surgeon who was extremely informative and friendly and has a great reputation. Now on the regime of 2 hourly drops gradually decreasing and so far my eye is improving every day. Still blurry but he assures me that will gradually go as the effect of the op wears off. So delighted and thanks to the encouragement and support of this group I was very relaxed about the procedure.
