Hi All,This is my first post,so I’m still finding my way around.
My eyes are aching all the time, now I’ve put it down to the drops.
Does anyone else have the same problem,if so can you give me any advice,I would be truly grateful.

Hi Germany1942
Welcome to the forum.
Sorry to hear about your aching eyes. It's horrible isn't it.
Sometimes the drops cause dry eye. Do you have an appointment coming up soon either with ophthalmology or an optician? It's worth asking them about it. They could then advise if you should use drops for dry eye. There are many different types.
Best wishes
Hello Germany 1942,
As Stairs10 says, it is always worth asking an optitian or at your eye outpatients about problems you have noticed .
I have dry eyes especially in the cooler months and they do ache at times.
Lubricant drops may be worth trying, inbetween your treatment drops.
Perhaps you could phone your consultant's secretary and ask if they would request your G.P to issue a prescription, to try.
I imagine if the medications are doing their job and increasing the fluid being lost from the eyes to relieve pressure, then this could cause dry eyes. Also some medications may be an irritant ,(or the preservatives sometimes used in them).
So it is worth reporting. Sometimes if you find a specialist glaucoma optitian, you may be able to just phone and ask. Otherwise for problems there is the extremely good Glaucoma Helpline....01233 64 81 70.
Best wishes
Thank you for the reply. I will ask my consultant, but that’s not for a while yet.
