Just curious as to whether anyone has sought out a second opinion from a different optometrist?

hi yes i have.....when my high pressure became glaucoma given 2 kinds of drops. they told me i had no other choice. i got a 2nd opinion from a top glaucoma specialist at the hospital. i have open angled glaucoma...she gave me laser SLT and that was a year ago. back on 1 drop monoprost. its not a cure..it lasts anywhere from 2-3 years normally. a lady on this site had high pressures of 28 and was told there was no damage in her eyes..she is on drops just incase her level goes up. pressure is a guideline here everyone is individual.if you are unsure in your treatment get a 2nd opinion...i always found the health care excellent in canada however things may hasve changed. take care valfrance
