Issues with driving at night?

Hello

I have heard of some glasses that can help with improving night vision for those of us with glaucoma. I already wear glasses ( I’m very myopic) and rarely contact lenses, so not sure what would help me but the glare of headlights is often harsh

thank you!

Hello Dianaartist. It has been recommended that amber is the best shade for night time driving, but research has shown that this may not be as beneficial as first thought. It would best to speak to your optometrist.

I asked my optician about this because I was interested in getting some. She told me that tinted glasses are illegal for driving in the UK. She said you are better off having anti glare lenses fitted to your glasses.

Specsavers do SuperDrive lenses. A bit pricey but worth it.

Yes, there the ones I’ve got -Specsavers Superdrive varifocals. They’ve been amazing at cutting glare from headlights when driving at night. I’ve found I can see everything more clearly - such as kerbs when it’s both dark and pouring with rain. Definitely worth the money
