In between my appointments at the glaucoma clinic I would like to know what my eye pressure is. Does anyone know where I could get this done without spending too much money?

Hello Dentek. Have a word with your opticians, who may be able to do this for you. They may be accommodating or they may charge you for a full eye health check each time you attend. Some people buy their own tonometer to measure their eye pressure but these are expensive, over £1000. If you are seen regularly at the eye clinic and your glaucoma is well controlled and stable with no concerns, you shouldnt need to measure your IOP between appointments, but I do understand that if you do worry, either would be money well spent to put your mind at rest.
Hi Dentek, I go to the opticians between my 6 monthly appointment. So I am self checking myself totalling 4 tests per year if you included my 2 appointments with the opticians. I live in france and it costs 30 euros for a pressure test. Far cheaper than buying a tonomoter, you have to get a decent one I think it would be far more than 1,000 euros as I checked them out when I was diagnosed January 2021. take care valfrance
