Going back to opticians today as have had red high to right eye in the corner (already had 2 lots of steroids this year) and a couple of ocular headaches as well as normal migraine headaches around my right eye . Worried that my eye pressure is still too high especially right eye.
I just want to be normal again but seem to be having what my dad experienced and eyesight just deteriorating . Just want to be happy again but so sad.

So sorry to hear you are having a bad time of it at the moment. we all just want to be happy and to carry on with our lives but sometimes there are so many bumps in the road.I hope you get sorted at the opticians and begin to feel better.
Just to let you know you are not alone, I will be thinking of you x
Sufitzy I'm sorry things aren't so great with you at the moment and that you feel so sad. It's hard to feel happy when your eyes are not doing as they should. It's good however that you are seeing the optician today and you will be able to find out your eye pressure and hopefully maybe he will be able to put your mind at rest. Going for any eye check up is always worrying as it's the fear of what you might be told but sometimes we do get told positive news. Let us know how you get on and I will be thinking of you x
Thank you both. I appreciate this forum a lot . I don’t like sharing constantly with my partner as they can’t do anything and know I am sad but it’s just there every morning when you open your eyes and feel sad again.
It is definitely good to speak to people who are going through the same as you. I know what you mean about constantly telling your partner. You aren't alone on here, there's always someone to listen and really understand. X
Hi well I have an urgent referral to go back to the consultant for steroids due to inflammation in my right eye. The migraines are due to that apparently. The good news is pressure was 19in both eyes . That’s down from 32 & 28. So the drops with the beta blocker in are doing something good . It’s been a roller Coster. First closed angle which they treated with laser and told me I was Completely ok.
Then a year later massive rise in pressure and diagnosed open angle and this year the drops started , then changed to stronger and this is the 3rd infection.
Thank you so much for you support today. My eye is very sore but the hospital should be in touch soon.
Thank goodness you went to the opticians today and fingers crossed you hear from the hospital soonest and get your eye sorted out and a stop put to your migraines. It's positive your pressures are down so well but you certainly need the inflammation sorted once and for all.
You have had a difficult time with your glaucoma so far so it's past time things started to stabilise for you. Let me know what they say at the hospital .
Take care x
I can relate to this as it's been 4 months since my operation and I'm still not back to normal, still taking atropine drops, pupil still huge eye still not cooperating vision still a bit blurry and just feel like this condition rules my life now and I'm very limited because of it. Try to hang in there and I will do the same.
Just more of the same. Keep taking drops until pressure goes up. I'm not confident that my vision will go back to normal though as the pressure was very low for some time. I can't drive and feel a complete loss of independence. I am not myself any more just existing. Hope we can both transcend this horrible experience and somehow find some positivity (())
We have to find a way though but it is scary. Stay in touch and let us know how you are doing . I didn’t realise till this just how much I value this forum and the ability to talk to people who are experiencing similar . At least here we don’t have to pretend to be ok . I hope I can be here for you in a small way .
Thanks for messaging . I had a really good result . He was happy with the pressures and told me the inflammation (can’t remember the technical term) was not the same as the previously 2 occasions and should self resolve over about 3 months and to use paracetamol and Ibruprophen to help with the headaches and restart dry eye drops. He said he avoids steroids if possible as it can result in worse flare ups than if you leave it. So I can now stop worrying that I am just masking a problem.
Oh brilliant I'm so pleased for you and it's great that he was happy with your pressures too. Hopefully the tablets and dry eye drops will make a difference soon. It was certainly worth going to the hospital today ☺️ x
