SLT tomorrow

I was diagnosed with Glaucoma mid June this year and am having SLT tomorrow. Incredibly grateful to be treated so quickly but feeling quite nervous now.

Good luck for tomorrow. I'm always nervous before any procedure I've had and then afterwards I am always surprised at how much easier it was than I expected. This time tomorrow you will be thinking what on earth was I so nervous about

Hi I was diagnosed in December last year have you got open angle. I’m 53 what’s your age . Just wanted to say I had slt on Tuesday on one due was really nervous bit not hurt at all. I was longer in the waiting room than the actual procedure took. I had a headache which they said I would for a few days you may not and very slight discomfort with my eye I mean just slight. My eye looked no different so no one would ever know you had anything done. I’m getting the other one done on the 10th September. Good luck. Let me know how you get on. You will be fine xx

Hi Julie thanks for responding. Yes I have open angle glaucoma primarily in the right eye. I’m 69. My SLT today was fine and I had both eyes done. Slight headache and a bit blurry (probably shouldn’t be on this tablet!!) but it was much better than anticipated. Back in two months but the pressure check post treatment had reduced. Hope your second eye treatment goes well.
