Bad dreams with drops

Does anyone experience bad dreams with Rocklatan or Lumigin? My 98 y mother has hallucinations of seeing people at foot of bed and feels like she is awake. No dementia and started with drops.

I've been using Latanoprost for the last month it's the same as Rocklatan.

I have noticed a deeper sleep and more dreams. I have been putting it down to being recently diagnosed with glaucoma and all the other pandemic issues being thrashed out in my mind while sleeping. I really hope you can get to the bottom of this quickly as it sounds terrifying. Perhaps give your GP a call on this.

I looked into side effects and couldn't see hallucinations as one of them but a product called Timolol does.

Sleep hallucinations are something that I have read about in the past and it can be brought on in many ways.

Here's a link for you to look at.

Kind regards

Thank you so much Shadow! She also was on Timilol which we stopped to see if any improvement of side affects. Actually a bit improved. Reassuring may be the drops.

Hello Maureenalind,

The hallucinations your mother is experiencing could be due to a condition called Charles Bonnet Syndrome and must be unsettling for her. When someone has glaucoma, especially advanced this can sometimes occur. Also a person who has Macular Degeneration (AMD) can experience this too. I have attached a link to their website for you which you may find helpful. charlesbonnetsyndrome.uk/
