Hi everyone I am 22 weeks pregnant and was admitted to hospital with bleeding, all went went and the bleeding stopped but from a swab taken my midwife has called to say I have tested positive for strep b infection. I have been given a course of antibiotics to take but after reading up on this infection as I didn’t know anything about it I am very worried, emotional and out of sorts. I’m scared my baby isn’t going to be ok. Has anyone got any information or advice for myself as I’m worrying myself so much about it. Thank you

Hi there..

I am so sorry to hear about this happening. I was wondering if you can provide an update as I have been diagnosed with a heavy colonisation of Strep B and I am paranoid about the effects.

Thank you
