My wife suffers from Asthma, Bronchiectasis, and has an Aspergillus growth in one of her lungs and yet she has been told that she cannot get this vaccination and also would not be eligible for specific treatment should she get Covid 19. My daughter-in-law suffers from asthma only and both her and my son have had this vaccination. The difference being they live in England and we live in Wales.
My son was apparently given this vaccine so that he would be less likely to catch Covid and pass it onto his wife.
As you can imagine I am annoyed at this situation.

The spring booster is being given to those who are highly immune-compromised but you will need to have a doctor's letter to support that to take to the vaccination unit. High-dose oral steroids may be enough but it is up to your doctor to support your request for vaccination.
That said it is difficult to get details on this from Welsh website resources, and the spring immunisation program looks like it is closed until autumn gov.wales/covid-19-vaccinat...
It closed here just after my wife had her vaccination. This is why we were trying to get her the vaccination. She telephoned to say she was on steroids and got her appointment the next day. She is now on the list to get all future vaccinations. She does have a letter from the hospital but she didn’t need this once she told them she was on steroids,
Yes all doing well thank you. Both had all the vaccinations and no side effects from them - that we have noticed any way Hope everyone else is doing well.
