Opdivo and Flu vaccine is it safe?

Hello my mum is currently on Opdivo and in Australia is the season for the flu, does anyone know or has anyone had the flu vaccine whilst on Opdivo? If someone has been vaccinated were there any complications?

I'm still waiting to hear back from mums oncologist.

Hi frisk, thank you for replying I was a bit concerned when mums oncology nurse said she didn't know and would have to ask mums doctor at the clinic. I think Opdivo is still relatively new in Australia where mums being treated.

I also had the Flu vaccine with my oncologist's approval in the Fall 2016. It's always best to consult with your team to make sure it's okay first you.

Whether or not your mother gets the flu vaccine, do get it for yourself so you don't risk giving the flu to her.

Hi JeanE41, Yes we've all had the vaccine at home to lessen the risk for her.

I had a flu shot and I'm on keytruda with no side effects.
