I take methotrexate by injection I find I get flares however too much methotrexate gives me terrible nausea, I will put up with the pain instead of the side effects from a larger dose,
Can anyone tell me if they are on methotrexate please

if you go onto health unlocked NRAS ( NATIONAL RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS SOCEITY loads of people on methotrexate it is used for rhuematoid arthritis. it is also used for lupus and some other arthrirtis conditions not (osteo!) and for some skin conditions too x.
Prescribed folic acid and anty nausea medication can help with this x
Thanks Summer, I take folic everyday and I have Psioratic Arthritis If I take more than 10 mg I am terribly nauseous and although the specialist increased the dosage my quality of life was awful.
I will check out the link thank you

My 88 year old mum was on Methotrexate and it gave her an ulcerated throat.
But I know lots of people who take it for RA and get good results.
thanks for all your answers having a flare blue feet and sausage fingers but better off than a lot of people
Gentle Hugs
Hi to everyone. I am on methotrexate 25mg injections weekly it makes me awfully nauseas all the time but I have been prescribed cyclizine 50mg but doesn`t take the feeling away still feel sickly at times completely. The cleaning swab that is used to clean the skin before injecting turns my stomach. Even the thought of doing the methotrexate injection makes me feel nauseas. I myself think it isn`t helping that much. I have rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis
Very gentle hugs to you
Liz
