Chronic Fatigue after covid

I had a terrible case of covid in July 2021. Contracted pneumonia and was in the hospital. I have recovered a bit, but still have issues, namely brain fog, asthma, and chronic fatigue. I work in the school system so I am now thankfully off for the summer. I hope to get some stamina back but the fatigue just never goes away, even after 10+ hours of sleep. I am taking a B-complex, and a number of other supplements. I push myself to do things I enjoy but it's now a struggle to complete tasks. Covid has essentially magnified the issues I HAD, and left me with additional (asthma, brain fog)

I'm currently a patient of Vanderbilt long covid center for the asthma.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I feel for you. I haven't had Covid but essentially struggle daily with the same issues. Hope you can find some help--those feeling are devastating when you previously led a normal life.

Thank you. Covid completely turned my life upside down. Right now, I'm not sure which health part is worse: things I had before covid that became worse after the virus or the things that covid initiated. I've been battling fatigue since well before the pandemic but like I said, covid aggravated everything, including the fatigue to the point where 10+ hours of sleep is not enough; my dr finally diagnosed me CFS this year in March. I've been in research mode for a long time, while just trying to "do life" And now that i'm POST covid and not ACTIVE covid, my health insurance gets to be selective about what they will pay. I want to get better, need the treatment but I'm so darn tired all the time and definitely not wealthy..

Hang in there. You can always find support here. I know that just finding out that there are others 'going through' has meant the world to me. When our friends don't understand and our families won't understand and our churches condemn us for our lack of faith, it's truly a life-saver to be able to come to our group and find those who DO understand.

I went back to work two weeks ago. Most days, by the time I get home, I'm so tired that I'm in bed by 7pm. Sometimes earlier. That sucks for my family and anything I should be doing around my house.
