I sent this to our surgery:

"I am sharing this link in the hope that one of the practitioners will engage in this course to gain a better understanding. It is led by top professionals in the field:

Early invention and validation is key, the right referrals, rehabilitation classes, correct information and support for not only the patient but their carers can turn this around.

A multi-disciplinary approach is essential with different professionals OT, PT, Psychology, Speech Therapists, Psychiatrists (more so with trauma victims), communicating with each other. Otherwise more sufferers will be left disabled, isolated, jobs lost (both individual and carers), family/relationship breakdowns, ignored when new symptoms occur (putting it all down to FND) and the list goes on.

Please forward this to the partners of the surgery, in the hope that this education will help other families.

Please acknowledge that this has been forwarded."

Just hope it works to bring about much needed change. I informed FNDAction of this course some time ago , in the hope that someone there would add the link to their successful info sheet which is part of their 'Inform the Doctor' campaign ..but no reply.

I clicked the link and it said that the page does not exist. Any advice appreciated before I forward to my GP.

I have just clicked it and it worked. No idea what is going on .. would suggest you copy the address, and paste it into your browser, and see if it works that way. Glad to hear you are taking some action to geta better deal for FND patients.
