Blood oxygen level-dependent (BOLD) signal variability is a measure of how much a brain's blood oxygen levels fluctuate over time. It can be used to study brain function in functional neurological disorder (FND).

For more details see link below

doi.org/10.1016/j.nicl.2024...

Why is BOLD signal variability important?

• It can help researchers understand how the brain adapts to its environment

• It can help researchers understand how brain function changes over time

• It can help researchers understand how brain function is related to cognition and behavior

• It can help researchers understand how brain function is related to socioemotional function
