Hi I've been diagnosed with fnd I have tremmers in my right leg and hand and my speech is affected also, the neurologist has put me for a EEG scan and that's not until April any one have any advice on how to help with my speech stutter slurred and repeating words I just don't know how to make it any better.

So sorry to hear of your diagnosis,.. many FND patients have speech and lang problems, so you are not alone, but as yet I don't think there are posts of easy solutions. I find staying calm, and working on the nervous system to release tension can ease the problem...which may not remain static. As for the medical 'state of play', see the article below. Best wishes

You may believe this or not but start reading Healing Bible Scriptures daily. You will see improvements as you recite out loud, in your speech + Many gifted Preachers used to have speech impediments and now are healed.

hi, I’ve had an FND for two years now I usually find that helps me is not thinking about my tremors or ticks too much because the more you focus or over think it the worse they get. make sure to distract yourself when it happens, for example put your headphones in or try think about other things but don’t focus on it too much.

If you struggling to speak could you try humming a song or singing the words, sounds crazy I know but sure I heard something about tourettes and it not being present when this sufferer sang.
