Hello, i dont have FND myself but my friend has been diagnosed this week, it gives her frequent seizures at least 5 a day, shes mute, sudden body jerks and spasms, and she has some other disabilities. Her family and friends are looking into getting an FND service dog but they just dont know where to start to apply for one. Has anyone got an FND support dog? They are also looking into rehab centres in the south of England if anyone has been to one that you would recommend, thank you x

Hi Jessiie,
Getting service dogs isn't easy but if your friend's family talk to her GP they may be able to signpost via social prescribing services. The UK is short on specialised rehab centres but it could be worth them asking for a referral to the Burden Centre in Bristol (part of the North Bristol Trust) which has been recommended by some people in this group.
Hope that helps a bit
