I have had another seizure, after 4 years in the process of possibly changing meds due to photosensitivity.

Now having sezuires I have been on carbamazepine and April it was found I have photosensitive due to the medication. I was ment to go on lamotrigine but when receiving it I found it had lactose in and I have an allergy to this. After yesterday I am thinking what will it be changed to? I am nervous of the seizure happening again before my neurology appointment sometime in Dec.

Hi. I was prescribed lamotrigine off-label and then developed seizures, which haven't stopped despite stopping the lamotrigine a number of years ago. Might just be coincidence with the lamotrigine. I don't take anything specifically for my seizures. You could ask the doctor why they recommend a particular medication, to make sure that it's been prescribed for the seizures and not some belief they have that they're trying to deal with psychological problems. Anyone dx with fnd should check for lyme disease or neuroborreliosis. It may be an answer for some of us ! Please take care. Diazepam should calm down your neurotransmitters?

Hi, check with your doctor if you can do TMS, it helped my girlfriend alot.
