Renovating my bedroom to fit my needs and preferences. I have a nickel allergy that is somewhat sever, I cannot avoid everywhere but in my bedroom I making it a safe haven.

Replacing my bedroom door knobs with a glass and bronze handle. Replacing my closet metal rod with a wood one. The knobs on my dresser are glass.

Replacing the covers on one of my electrical outlets and my light switch with bronze metal one to bring a beautiful aesthetic to the room. All of my furniture is wood which I love the look and feel.

The colors: of my walls, trim, ceiling, door and closet are colors that are very relaxing and calming for me.

The textiles are mixture of textures. Different textures help with dealing with my FND and my vocal tic.

That sounds like a nice plan changing up the paint and what not to go with the necessary changes. I didn't realize that nickel was so widely used.

Thank you so much. Nickel is used in a lot of things. My goal for next year is to replace the faucets in my bathroom and the door knobs on my bathroom as well. The towel holders and the shower curtain rod.

I hope you have a wonderful week.

I noticed that I used something of a buttercream paint in my old house in the bedroom and it actually was a very relaxing and beautiful color, even though I don’t like yellow and didn’t realize it had a yellow undertone when I put it on! My issue is with gait disorder and muscle weakness. I have been falling a lot in the last year, so now I think I have to remodel my bathroom with nonslip tile and a different bathtub that is not as high. It’s crazy to think about the changes that some of us will have to go through in our home to make it safer.

I suffer from muscle spasms that causes my muscles to be weak. I am actually out of breath at the moment from my vocal tic disorder. Colors do help and influence how we feel.
