FND and seizures

Hi everyone, I'm new to this site and any advice would be most appreciated. I've got a few conditions all came after a diagnosis of fibromyalgia in 2013 but the main one causing problems for me this past while is the seizures. They started over 5 years ago and were the same throughout until just over a week ago when they changed from being anything up to 40 minutes to now only lasting a couple of minutes. Same feelings on the lead up to them, strange feeling in my head, nausea, heart racing, short of breath etc but instead of being out of it for a length of time they're now only lasting a couple of minutes and fully aware though drowsy. I seem to have the "seizure head" as I call it (the strange feeling in my head) all the time though along with constant nausea which is horrible. Has anyone else experienced this change and if so do you know the reason why? TIA

Hi, a few days ago I had extreme nausea with a fuzzy head then I passed out. I used to take Topirimate for migraines but since stopping it the fainting has got worse. I also have fnd and M.E with fibro. It's a strange feeling and I wonder if it could be linked to low blood pressure. A lot of people with M.E have a low pulse rate.Maybe a question for the doctor.

Take care and hope you find answers soon.

Hi there, I also suffer from seizures and can 100% relate. The symptoms you described are exactly how I feel as well. My seizures started in 2018 as fainting spells, then changed into twitching and being non responsive for over an hour at times. They changed again to feeling the same but with more convulsing and lasting up to 5 minutes. UCLA diagnosed them as non- epileptic seizures and I am now at a point where they don’t happen everyday, multiple times a day. But they are much less severe and last on average 3-5 minutes. Therapy and taking care of my mental health has been everything, I believe. Hopefully soon I can get my license back and get back to work. I’m sorry that you are going through this confusing and difficult situation, but you are not alone. Trust and listen to your body. Sending all the love your way 💗

Had those symptoms, strange feeling in your head etc. except the seizure although I do get pale and cold and feel I’m about pass out and I’m about to die, irregular heartbeat, then I am almost paralyzed and then start twitching, but my neurologist said that’s not a seizure. I think it’s a mild form maybe….I just know at that moment my brain is malfunctioning and just plain wrong. Every time I went to emergency room for that they called it a panic attack. And I told them, I wasn’t worried or stressed about anything but they didn’t believe me. Now after a few years after I had a stroke like episode did they say I have FND.

Hi sweetie,so sorry to hear about what you are going through,

Understand exactly what u mean

I have not had a seizue for 4 yrs,

but the other day felt as if I was going to have one, very scary!!

I CALL IT BRAIN FOG, which is there always, getting better, then sometimes so much worse.

I think this is all part of FND,

Your GP might want to check up on you, but if they know your history then, they may put it down to FND

FND takes many forms and gives us lots of horrible physical symptom, WHICH ARE REAL.

Do you have a good GP?

I wish you all the luv and best wishesxxxx
