No access to physio & other service providers due to Covid-19

Our state, and most bordering us, have been shut down. No non essential travel is allowed. I agree with this...we have to get this under control. There are exceptions to this shutdown for Dr appts, grocery runs, drug stores and such. Few businesses are deemed essential so they are shuttered.

My physio team is based at the hospital. People are being screened and disinfected before they're even allowed into the building....even the ER patients. Covid is here. It is scary. People are dying.

My husband is immuno compromised so going out into the real world is a challenge without this virus. With covid floating out there, well getting around others doesn't happen easily.

My neuro appt for next week was rescheduled for July. He is four hours away in Indianapolis. It's getting really bad there right now They don't know if it will be clear in July, but as this was just a consult/2nd opinion with no treatment expected I'm okay with that delay.

My eye doctor has the new prescription and I've been fitted but we don't know if the lab is going to be able to create them anytime soon. Let's hope for the beginning of May she suggested. I am really excited to see if the prisms correct the diplopia....May?!? Ok.

My primary care doctor is a blessing. All I have to do is call her and she will provide whatever medication or referral that I may need. But they are not seeing anyone unless it is a dire emergency. Like one level underneath you need an ambulance on the care scale.

I have no access to physio.....I haven't seen them in almost a month now. No speech therapy, no occupational therapy, no physical therapy, no vestibular rehab therapy....nothing. With none expected for a few more weeks... at best.

I am really feeling the loss of their support and encouragement ...as well as being pushed to the next level of exercises. Seeing progress makes me feel better and gives me hope that I will get past this.

I miss my chiropractor too!!!!!!!! I am sneaking in to see him tomorrow...have to. The crunchies when I turn my head are just too much. And the lovely involuntary jerks that slam my head around all willy-nilly are not adding anything positive.

I have upped my walk from 20 mins to 2 miles. I am still working the last level of exercises every day for about an hour but I feel so stagnant.

How is anyone else handling this loss of services. Or are you having any obstacles to care?

Blessings to all.
