ASMR sensation, without stimulation

Hi all,

Quick question - have any of you ever experienced a regular ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response), that sort of pleasant tingling sensation in your scalp, without any sort of positive stimulation?

I always used to associate it with somebody I'm really attracted to touching my head or face/neck. Used to feel it regularly when I was getting my hair cut but in the last 24 hours, particularly last night and once this morning, I've just had that sensation without any sort of stimulation at all.

Last night it happened about 4-5 times back to back. Happened again this morning as I was walking down the stairs. It's always on the left side, at the top/back of my scalp.

It doesn't feel at all unpleasant but it can be quite weird and unsettling. I've felt a bit more neck stiff/soreness and dizziness in the past couple of days too.

Again, has happened to me a few times today. Half a dozen, if I'm honest.

Sorry it's not happened to me - sounds pleasant at least.

I'm wondering if that symptom was one of the reasons some people are convinced their lost loved ones are still around, it's a more rational (to me) explanation than ghosts.
