Life is ever changing.

That simple statement is all that you really need to know about life. It is the single fact that all roads lead back to. As a species we know this. It is something we learn over time through life and love and loss. We all accept this truth in different ways and at different points in our personal journeys. Even when we truly think we understand this fact, life throws us a bigger change than we imagined for our lives and the journey of acceptance begins anew.

With great loss comes recovery.

How do you measure recovery when what you have lost can’t be restored? We simply start over, as much as we can, learning again as in infancy how to human again. The older we get however, the less willing we become to rewire our thinking. So tired of the race that we feel almost entitled to a shred of peace that is only ours. We will defy everything just to hang on to things when the fastest solution is to learn again.

Knowledge is power.

The reason it takes us so long to grow into our new realities is because we lack necessary information, and thus must solve riddles that constantly change. What then is the answer to this madness? Not being afraid to stand up and announce, “I don’t understand what’s going on. None of my questions have been answered.”. Help will find you when you ask for it, but you must interact with the world to receive it. When that help arrives, you need to be willing to accept whatever form it has taken, and that includes recognizing help when you see it. Open your eyes and ensure you are truly present so that you do not miss help when it arrives. The only person who truly walks in your shoes is you, and only you. Be your own advocate, and never lose faith in you.

It isn’t how we fell, but how we overcame it that matters. You don’t have to love change. You simply have to accept it.

Excellent philosophy to live by, although it's a damm hard journey at times.

Like the roller coaster, ups and downs, and we have to try and ride it with all the twists and turns.

Best Wishes!
