Not a great picture but I can't be arsed to find another. I'm a full time stay at home dad (44) with 3 kids and two dogs. I'm married to the girl I met over 20 years ago. Four years ago I started getting seizures and we're still trying to find some answers.

There's also the book Functional Neurologic Disorders for reading or listening as part of the Handbook of Clinical Neurology, with the last section on treatments, and there's a book called "Is it all in your head? True Stories of Imaginary Illness."
Hi, I got my answers from professor Edwards it took 17 months to get to him with a lot of help from a friend who knew the system and really pushed for me. It was great to get a diagnosis after being fobbed off with anxiety and depression, migraines etc none of these had I had. I waited 6 months to go in as an inpatient in London where although there is no cure I was given techniques to help with seizures, limping, foot turning in, noise concentration. 6 months on from that I’m still fighting to improve. The fact no one can say what improvement there will be or how long is quite hard to live with. My quality of life has improved as not so much pain unless I overdo it. But at home still isolated as unable to walk far, drive, no bus route etc. I’m very glad I eventually got answers and reading up I had all the symptoms of FND. A lot of my symptoms went on their own before I got to London but what left with does not enable me to do much on my own. Reading on the FND website and reading what people wrote on here gave me a good understanding of what I’d got. Hope this helps in some way.
great you got a name for what you have after all this time im hoping after 18 years of being told this thing that thing that i will get answers from my new neuroligist who sent me to look up about fnd.... so new to this but glad to hear you now know what yuou are dealing with,,,,, hooray xxxx
Hi. I too suffer from seizures. And no answer as to why. I’ve been told that it’s my brain being unable to process childhood trauma. But I’ve dealt with it for 45 years (in maladaptive ways) so my brain and body know what to do. So why FND now? No answers.
I have seizures too, it's been over a year and still no clear answers about it. All I can say is hang in there. Keto Diet and THC and CBD oils have really helped me.
