Hi all, has anyone been to the Wolfson Centre for inpatient intensive physio? I've been referred there by Prof Edwards. I was told that because Glenn Nielsen's waiting list was so long they have set up another centre at St Mary's hospital , as a part of St George's. Hopefully this means I won't have to wait too much longer for treatment. I'd be very interested to hear anyone's experience.

Hi I have not had the treatment at the Wolfson centre but had the treatment with his team and it changed my life. I can now walk without sticks and plan for a future
Lovely news the treatment was so positive for you! Best of luck with your new future. Thanks for replying.

Hi:
Can you tell me what did they do for you? That’s great news that you can walk without any devices
They essentially broke my walking down and built it up using mirrors and treadmills. It was 121 work and intense. Deceptively simple but so far do good. I can walk a a couple of miles albeit not as fast as I could. I even been able to ride a bike and can swim again.
Wow, that is fantastic! The thought of being able to walk two miles, I'd be so glad to do that again, after years of stop-start limping along. Can't overestimate the effect of hearing positive results like yours, renews hope that something can be done. Thank you!
Don't forget Prof Mark Edwards doing webinar tonight at 9 pm if you want to see him.
Best of luck with your progress!
4 of us there now. What would you like to know other than come join us it's wonderful!!!
I would add, the Wolfson centre is a 12 week program with a full multidisciplinary team working with you to achieve the optimum result for YOU.
Wow! That sounds amazing. Not sure if I will be there for 12 weeks, I was told last September that it would be a 5 day intensive physio programme. I'll happily accept whatever is offered. Just waiting to hear when I'll be called for an assessment. I hope it goes well for you all.
It has been amazing. Like you I never really heard positive stories so I happy to share mine.
