Hi Peeps
I've signed the UK petition calling on better NHS provision for FND sufferers. I've put it on my Facebook and my friends are beginning to add their signatures.
I got to thinking with my former Scottish Government lawyer's head on that given devolution just about all NHS matters relating to Scotland are dealt with by the Scottish Government and Parliament. So I thought that I would submit a petition calling for such support to the Scottish Parliament in the hope of a Government response and possibly even being heard on the floor of the Parliament. Again these things are subject to getting the required number of votes and being selected to be heard on the floor. Oops there I go again yacking on with too much detail.
This is not in any way to detract from the UK petition which I have signed but to also exert some pressure and get the message out onto the Scottish political scene if possible. All pressure is good for all of us.
So hopefully over the next couple of days I'll get the process started and see where we go from there. I don't believe that you have to be resident in Scotland to sign. And our fellow sufferers living in Wales and Northern Ireland might like to explore a similar option. I'll certainly sign all the petitions and get the word out to my friends. Small acorns and all that.
Cheers
