This is awesome! I haven't been diagnosed with this condition but if my test in December comes back being negative for seizures then I may have this condition. My neurologist thought some of the video I showed her wasn't seizures but she still suggested I could be having seizures and referred to epilepsy specialist. I wouldn't be surprised if I have some of this as well cause I have a lot of emotional struggles as well. Basically this is awesome information that it's being better understood. I'm so happy about this. I was afraid if I'm diagnosed with this I will just be sent to psychiatrist to deal with it and I already see a psychiatrist and still having a hard time. Take care! 😊💖✌🏼

My neurologist basically said he didn't think this was quality research and it is pretty much all psychological. I have decided to stop talking to him about new research because he has apparently made up his mind that it is all psychological.

Get a New Neurologist. If yours has a by gone conclusion he is pretty much helpless to you. My suggestion if possible is to try another clinic with a fresh open set of eyes. And, bring him the fnd.org information, that of Dr. Stone himselfs information, and also this new information. If he is not open and puts the information in his file, then try moving on again. WE have been abused enough with this condition not to let any Dr. cause more harm. If you are even able perhaps a visit to Massachusettes to visit the Dr.s there. I have traveled quite a bit of distance over the past 20 years. I am a fighter. I now go to Mayo in Rochester where my main neurologist is. Its 5 hours one way. But it is whats best for me. Praise the Lord!!! Finally someone in the US actually looking into FND..Maybe this is the breakthrough we have all been looking for. Nor prayerfully they will not stop but continue to look, study, and treat with respect all of those like many of us that have fallen through the cracks and mistreatment by the medical community. Cathy
