assessment too late for blue badge

Hi everyone

Does anyone know how to get a blue badge renewed if the pip assessment hasn’t been decided before the blue badge runs out? I’m quite concerned as my mobility is very poor and I desperately need to renew it

Hi, you should get an extension letter from PIP about a month before your award is due to end, which you can then use to get a new blue badge, though you might be without it a few weeks. Or you can just apply for it and send evidence etc. I didn't want to go through the hassle of an assessment for a new blue badge so I waited for my extension letter ( which I got at the weekend), if I'm without the badge a few weeks I'll have to deal with it as I can't face an assessment for blue badge and then another for PIP!
