Rosa Burden Centre (UK): Hi everyone, I was... - FND Action
Rosa Burden Centre (UK)
Hi there,Dont know the place you mention as live in Canterbury, but if it was anything like my referal then you should have tests and be seen by a neurologist who is familiar with FND as not many of them are then once you are seen, , after some tests and a lot of talking you can be put on the right medication and there is also a rehabilitation which you can go to. With FND the right medication is essential and the rehab is worth a try, but dont stress about any of it, as all lovely people,
it will probably take a lot of appointments for you plus getting to the root of problems,if there are any that make the FND worse, and the right meds, but please dont worry, you are on the right path!!!!! Sending much love, please keep chin up, sending you best wishesxx
Thank you for your kind words, I do understand I am at the beginning of this journey but am equally determined to embrace every bit of help that’s available. I look forward to my referral and let’s hope there are better days ahead. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. Best wishes, and take care.
I have been under the burden centre for the last 20 years on and off, the staff are very understanding and if Dr Mohan is looking after you you will get the help and advice you need, don't be frightened when you go into there they will hopefully give you the help and advice you needAll the best
