Has anyone else been subjected to pain stimulus techniques? I get drop attacks and, in just one visit to the hospital, I got a sternum rub from the ER doctor, a trapezius pinch from the paramedic and several rounds of peripheral pain techniques from the nurse (rolling a pen over my fingernails and toenails). It feels like torture to me, and causes me much more distress than the attack itself. They seem to think that if they do it enough, that they can make me "snap out of it". But I think it just makes the attack last longer. Also, I end up black and blue for days afterwards. If anyone has any ideas on how to get them to stop doing this to me, I would be very grateful.

Hello, may I ask what happens to you when you have a drop attack please
Yes, no problem. My whole body goes completely limp and I can't speak. At first, my eyes are closed, but as I feel stronger, I can open them again. It feels like I'm completely exhausted, like a switch has been flipped. I regain strength slowly - it takes a day or two before I can walk again, with a walker, but sometimes I'll collapse again a few days later.
