AI strikes again in drug repurposing (not yet PCa but very interesting)

It's not yet Prostate cancer related, but I love it. It is a company traded on Nasdaq, so we are not talking about 3 guys that could be erased by some big pharma company. This is a company I would love to help to get to clinical trials!

The company (I try not to include company names here wen I can) has reported a major breakthrough in AI-driven drug repurposing, identifying potential new treatments for ovarian, colon, and breast cancers.

In just eight weeks, their AI platform analyzed 92 drug-tumor combinations, allowing it to predict outcomes for 964 more, covering nearly 80% of possible experiments—a process that would have taken years in a lab.

Notably, two repurposed drugs outperformed a standard colon cancer treatment in early testing.

The company is also investigating FDA-approved drugs for ovarian cancer, with results expected soon. By accelerating drug discovery by at least 18 months, this approach could revolutionize how new cancer treatments reach patients.
