While this podcast isn't up there with the various postings on FPC from those who have a leaning towards the science. And given that most readers on this particular hub of HU are a considerable distance from their initial treatment and, if enduring this particular side effect of standard of care medication, will have sorted the issue to suit their own specific situation. However, it is an excellent resource and the opportunity might arise for you to recommend it to those who are less well informed who might come across your path or perhaps you could share it should the issue arise on different prostate cancer forums you visit. It is definitely one you wish every urologist who treats men with prostate cancer watches and keeps in mind when they are counselling men starting out on this roller coaster of a condition.

Yes. I was introduced to penile rehabilitation early on (just after radical prostatectomy in 2007. I used that very Bonro pump and a daily sildenafil. Worked very well apparently. It can be bought online without a prescription the same as the prescription version.

Marnie,

Thanks for posting... Victoria Cullen did great with Declan and Renu...

It was entertaining and informative... There is a growing change among surgeons, MO's, and Urologists to deal with impotence... I think Victoria's 6 steps emails with information would be helpful for those with erectile dysfunction.

The push to use daily PDE5 inhibitors post RP and to continue it may help with improved functionality, as all patients recover differently... there is also the decrease risk in Alzheimer's Disease as a benefit....

I do feel that prostate cancer treatment is evolving so rapidly in addressing the various ways that this disease changes men's lives...

Keep the Peter Mac in proper order...

Thanks, Marnie.

My observation is that the GU Cast podcasts out of PeterMac are consistently superior to those from most other online sources - due in large part to the lighthearted, yet enthusiastically informative format that pervades all topics they cover.

This podcast is a perfect example, and shows their effectiveness in discussing even such sensitive issues as ED - a topic not easily approachable for most MDs and patients. Infused within the advice to patients with ED issues, is the regular dosage of good cheer and humor in the presentation. Declan and Renu are always delightful and their guest for this "touchy subject", Victoria Cullen, is equally so in presenting her description of the nature of ED issues, the available "appliances" + "accessories", pharma agents, and recommendations for how to approach their use. Victoria also curates a comprehensive online resource for ED - atouchysubject.com/

Altogether the sort of medical professionals we all long to have as our own. It sort of makes me want to move to AU.

Stay S&W, Regards to both you and Ron, Ciao - cujoe
